Inspiration for Erindonia, Location of the Emerald Araclite

The beauty of Erindonia is captivating, with majestic, towering trees that stretch to the sky, and rivers that seem to flow endlessly throughout the land. Much like our world,vast forests offer breathtaking views that are impossible to ignore. In Erindonia, hidden deep beneath the forest canopy lie the mysterious ruins of an ancient Eretian civilization, where people once worshipped Xerxio, the God of Life and Creation. Here, they offered tributes and sacrifices to the Arcalite Guardian- the Calvagora, which was believed to be the living manifestation of Xerxio himself. Somewhere within the land, the Emerald Arcalite remains concealed, said to embody the power of Earth. Yet, its location remains a mystery, guarded by the ancient Guardian and the deadly toxins of the Grimshade plants that permeate the air, awaiting only the bravest souls willing to seek it.

Inspiration for Hitovia, Location of the Crimson Arcalite

The idea of Hitovia came from documentaries of the Lycian Tombs and Petra. The sheer magnificence of these structures carved directly into the cliffs left me awestruck. There’s something magical about these hidden worlds and their incredible architecture that truly stirs the imagination. Similarly, I imagine carved ruins of another ancient Eretian civilization in the Hitovian Andes, and within those mountains is believed to hide the Crimson Arcalite that is said to embody the power of Fire. The hidden caves in the mountains are also filled with beautiful red stones called “Bloodstones” which is ancient dragon fire that crystallized with remnants of magma and was infused by centuries of volcanic heat. The Hitovian mountain remains dormant, and the ruins of the city carved into the rocks remains unstable. Only an eruption can collapse the rest of the lost city, or… Dragon fire from the Crimson Arcalite Guardian.

Inspiration for Eretesia, Location of the Lumen Arcalite.

Mount Eretesia was inspired by a documentary that I saw about Mount Everest. With its mesmerizing blend of snow, rock, and endless sky, this breathtaking mountain is as alluring as it is lethal. Like Everest, Eretesia’s terrain is formidable with its deep crevasses, slick icy slopes, constant avalanche danger, and perilously thin air at high altitudes. The Lumen Arcalite that embodies Air, is incredibly special because it grants the ability to breathe as easily as one would at ground level. Long ago, Eretesia was a thriving homeland, until a cataclysmic avalanche wiped out an entire civilization leaving behind glistening, frozen ruins. Now, the Lumen Arcalite remains concealed within the mountain, safeguarded by the Vernavis, a magnificent three headed creature with the strength and size of a dragon and cloaked in snowy white feathers. But those who seek the Lumen Arcalite must journey through the heart of Eretesia, where death waits patiently beneath every snowdrift.

Inspiration for Edmirion, Location of the Cerulean Arcalite

The Sunken City of Edmir, also known as Edmirion, drew inspiration from legendary lost cities like Atlantis/Pavlopetri and Baiae to the enchanting Blue Grotto, and bioluminescent water. I am captivated by the images and videos of these hauntingly beautiful places. In the world of the ancient Eretians, a small civilization met its end when a colossal wave consumed their city overnight—without warning, and with no chance for escape. Now, Edmir lies hidden in the ocean’s depths, its secrets and the Cerulean Arcalite remain guarded by the bloodthirsty mermaids of the abyss, and the formidable Hornhide Leviathan—a ferocious sea serpent waiting in the shadows of the Edmir Sea Cave, hungry to be awakened. Only those daring enough to brave the dark, mystic waters have a chance to uncover the ancient Cerulean Arcalite. Yet, to reach such depths, they must hold their breath longer than mortal lungs allow—unless they possess the legendary Air Arcalite, the only hope of surviving the journey.
